Anthranilic Acid is used as an intermediate for production of dyes, pigments, and saccharin. Anthranilic Acid is used in the synthesis of drugs of abuse such as Methaqualone (M225900) for use as internal standards in quantification and its labelled analogue is used in the quantitative profiling of tryptophan metabolites.
