3-Acetoxy-2-oxopropanol-13C2 Dimer is the isotope labelled analog of 3-Acetoxy-2-oxopropanol Dimer (A167630); a dimer of 3-acetoxy-2-oxopropanol and a derivative of 1,3-Dihydroxyacetone Dimer (D450075) which is a compound used in the synthesis of dihydropyrimidine calcium channel blockers. 1,3-Dihydroxyacetone Dimer is also used in the preparation of new antineoplastic and antifilarial agents.
