Saccharomyces cerevisiae NE095 for Cell Counting and DNA-based Detection (freeze-dried)
In stock
This reference material (RM) is intended for harmonizing measurements of analytical workflows involving nucleic acid-based detection.
To enable specific detection of this yeast strain (Saccharomyces cerevisiae NE095) via molecular methods, a noncoding sequence of nucleic acids has been stably inserted in the yeast genome.
Typical instrumentation for using this RM include polymerase chain reaction (PCR), quantitative PCR (qPCR), digital PCR (dPCR), and DNA sequencing technologies.
In addition, this RM may be used to calibrate and assess cell counting devices. This RM has a primary non-certified value for the number of freeze-dried cells per vial.
A unit of RM 8230 consists of 12 pouches of freeze-dried Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast) cells and four pouches with lyophilization matrix only (no cells). Each pouch contains one vial of material plus a desiccant pack.
