  •  The SRM is intended primarily for use in calibrating instrumentation and evaluating the accuracy of analytical methods for selected elements in blood serum, plasma, and similar biological fluids.

  • A unit of SRM 1598a consists of two capped polyethylene vials, each containing 5 mL to 6 mL of frozen serum.
